The movement
MKubed is a leader in this movement towards curated, sustainable, and locally sourced design. Our one-of-a-kind spaces can be found across different corners of the world:
We believe in “Biophilic” design, which seeks to connect occupants with nature. By maximizing natural light and incorporating native plants and materials, we integrate local natural elements into our designs, bringing the outside in.
Nature that Nurtures
There is a move toward highly customized spaces that blend various influences. We layer nostalgic elements with modern functionality allowing us to capture our clients’ individualized tastes and make spaces feel more personal and reflective of each owner’s respective history.
Customized Spaces
The rise of smart home technology is influencing interior design by seamlessly integrating devices that enhance comfort and efficiency. From voice-activated systems to eco-friendly appliances, we introduce the latest home technologies that promote sustainability without compromising aesthetics.
Technological Integration
At MKubed Designs, we integrate Human Factors principles into every interior design project to ensure spaces are not only beautiful but also intuitive, accessible, and aligned with the needs of the people who use them. This means we consider everything from ergonomics and lighting to spatial flow, sensory impact, and emotional connection—creating environments that promote wellness, comfort and functionality. This blending of aesthetics with evidence-based design, creates interiors that feel as good as they look, elevating both the space and the human experience within it.

Localism & Adaptive Reuse
We believe in applying the concepts of “Adaptive Reuse” and “Localism” across all touch points, making our projects kind to both the wallet and the planet. Layering locally found historical pieces with newer items, gives our spaces relevance, soul and staying power.
“Adaptive Reuse” focuses on repurposing and revitalizing locally sourced, pre-loved furnishings, artwork, and decorative items, not only because it is eco & budget friendly, but because these found treasures have a personality, a story, and are usually higher quality than their mass-produced alternatives. This approach democratizes elevated, timeless design so it can be accessible to everyone.
“Localism” is the practice of incorporating local cultural values, aesthetics, and traditions into the design process, creating environments that are unique and reflective of the specific place, rather than being generically off the shelf. By incorporating locally sourced materials, furnishings, artwork and decor, this approach supports regional economies, fosters a deeper connection to the community and avoids high shipping costs, tariffs and delays at Customs.
